(Jn 4:1-42)

Men see with their eyes that the fields are ready for harvest, thus securing their food supply, thinking that this or that land is the promised land, holy ground.

But it matters not so much whether one obeys the will of God in this place or that place as whether one obeys the will of God in spirit and in truth.

For men with insight also know that the everlasting food (and water) is doing the will of God, sowing and cultivating the fruits of the Holy Spirit, a gift from God for men to receive through their own free will, and God and man rejoice together when this work is done.
